Diversification of products, standardisation of packaging

Customers often approach us as they grow their product lines as they are competing at the cutting edge of technological advances. While expanding their business they don’t want an endless supply of different packaging solutions which are costly and have an impact on their sustainability goals and packaging waste obligations (Extended Producer Responsibility).

One such customer produces electrical equipment, with a value of over £100k per item and shipped globally packaging was key. However while they were growing their business and adding additional products, they did not want to increase their packaging lines.
Using our consultative approach, we gained a clear understanding of the products, the packaging requirements and their shipping process which included unpacking and repacking items during shipment for testing, It was also vital that we understood and mirrored the strategic goals and ethos of the company. We developed and tested a solution in partnership with the customer which resulted in one corrugated outer and flexible inner fitments.
