Building a bright future at Westpack

Hello, I am Leah, a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice at The Sheffield College, and I began working for Westpack in July 2024. My apprenticeship is due to finish in January 2026.

I joined Westpack after taking a year away from studying business at college. At first, the change felt quite overwhelming because it was a big step. However, everyone at Westpack made me feel very welcome and supported me every day.

Working here has allowed me to develop many skills and expand my knowledge. I have been involved in different areas of the business such as administration, HR, health and safety, accounts, sales, and quality. I have been trusted to handle regular tasks and keep everything running smoothly. That has made me very proud of my progress. Every day at Westpack, I learn at least one new thing.

When I look back to the start of my apprenticeship, I feel proud of how much I have improved as both an administrator and a person. I can see real growth in my work and in my confidence. Sometimes I think, “I can’t believe I did that,” or “I can’t believe I helped put this in place.” I am especially proud of how my thinking and problem-solving has improved over the past year. I have become more confident and professional, and I see positive changes in myself every day.

I have really enjoyed this apprenticeship with Westpack. It has been a big learning experience for me. It has also set me on the right path for my future career. I am grateful for the support from the team, which has made it possible.

Choosing to do this apprenticeship with Westpack has been one of the best decisions I have made. I am excited about what the future holds and look forward to what I can achieve next.
